Agenda
- Setup: Repository for Culminating Task
- To keep key information about how to access our databases secret, we will make culminating task repositories private.
- Mr. Gordon will need to be invited as a collaborator to your repository so that he can review your work later on.
- Setup: Connecting a Project to Supabase
- Add the Supabase package.
- Get database connection settings from Data API panel on Supabase.
- Task: Querying Multiple Tables
- Begin by showing sample information from a single table in a one-to-many relationship, then make it possible to add new information.
- If your database has a many-to-many relationship between entities, use the Querying Multiple Tables, Pt. 2 tutorial to learn how to handle this.
- Task: Culminating
- Use the recaps and resources and make progress on your culminating task.
- Remember to make a daily post to share your progress in your portfolio on Notion.
NOTE
“AI and Computational Sociology Summer Program: Inspirit AI is a 25-hour summer intensive that exposes students to project development with graduate-level Stanford, MIT, and Ivy researchers. Students will build research projects such as finding abnormalities in MRI scans. Applications for summer are due May 15th.”
David Li ‘25 attended this last summer, and may be willing to answer questions about his experience.
Things to do before our next class
- Write about what you made progress upon today in a portfolio entry on Notion – daily posts can be a bit more brief – since it is expected that you are also filling out your culminating task template a little bit more each day.
TIP
Remember that you can still ask questions of Mr. Gordon by tagging him using
@Russell Gordonin your daily portfolio entry.
